Free press?! Meeting following a screening of BAD PRESS dir. Rebecca Landsberry-Baker, Joe Peeler
In Polish
Partner: European Solidarity Center - sponsor of the All About Freedom Festival award for the film that contributes to a broader understanding of the value of solidarity.
What actually is freedom of the press and how important is it to ensure democracy? Isn't it an illusion in the era of digital media, all-encompassing automation, algorithms and artificial intelligence? What is the role of people fighting for basic things, such as the right to information, in this process? The experience of the indigenous community of residents of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reserve in Oklahoma and their fight for freedom serves as a pretext to talk about access to reliable information and truth in the context of the future of the media.
