Born in New Delhi, a graduate of the National Polish Film School in Łódź. His graduation film Jestem OK was screened at various festivals across the world including the New Horizons Film Festival in Wroclaw. He co-directed Karma Killings, the first Indian documentary to be acquired by NETFLIX. He has participated at “La Fabrique Des Cinémas Du Monde” at the Cannes Film Festival (2015) where he was mentored by Claire Denis. He has been creatively collaborating with Estonian film director Anna Hints since 2019. They have written together two short fiction scripts Weight of Light (in post-production) and Sauna Day (in pre-production). Weight Of Light won Baltic Producers Media Award at Baltic Pitching Forum in Vilnius 2021. Tushar Prakash is one of the editors of Anna Hints‘s debut feature-length documentary Smoke Sauna Sisterhood  that premiered at Sundance Film Festival World Cinema Documentary Competition in January 2023 with director Anna Hints winning the Directing Award.
