Pina Bausch's stage became a meeting place for people of different backgrounds, looks and dispositions. She was interested in people as they were. She used to say she didn't care how the dancers moved, but what moved them. Her art does not only represent the truth but also a departure from the pattern present in classical ballet, for example. Each of us is a dancer. An encounter with Pina Bausch's working method is above all a beautiful encounter with oneself. The body never lies, and its movement is the primary language for expressing our emotions... you just have to let it speak.
Instructor:
dr Katarzyna Anna Małachowska – graduate of the Acting Department at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. Since 2016 she has been a lecturer/adjunct professor at the Acting Department of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków.
