Opening Gala. Opening film: “Pianoforte”
This year the festival will open with a gripping story about a group of young contestants in the International Chopin Piano Competition. This intimate coming-of-age portrait of young pianists navigating the rigours of competition is an emotional rollercoaster of a film. Director Jakub Piątek and his film crew, along with the film protagonists Marcin Wieczorek, Hao Rao and Vivian Li will be the guests at the opening of the 20th MDAG. A meeting and a special performance will follow the screening.
