The fish speak! Meeting with Małgorzata Żywicka from the Gdynia Aquarium following the screening of WHALE NATION dir. Jean-Albert Lièvre
In Polish
Partner: Gdynia Aquarium
Did you know that whales have been living on Earth for over 40 million years? For thousands of years, they have carefully guarded the secrets of their "singing". Is it a means of long distance communication that could easily compete with the Internet? A tool for intergenerational transmission and geolocation? The film takes us on a journey through Africa, Asia, Oceania, the Arctic and Antarctica, showing the history of these extraordinary creatures. It adopts an original perspective - a whale tells its story here, and we have the impression of looking at the world from its point of view. In the face of climate change, their role turns out to be crucial. They contribute to ensuring balance on Earth. The film, created with extraordinary care for nature, warns against the dangers lurking for whales and the consequences that their disappearance may bring.
