There are 160 participants during the eliminations but only 12 of them would go on to the finals. The Chopin Competition is the oldest event of this rank in the world. It takes place every 5 years in Warsaw and is attended by the most talented and respected pianists. The emotional stakes are high, which is understandable given it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. The protagonists of the film are several young participants of the competition from different parts of the world, whose sole focus from childhood have been playing the piano. They all share a similar dream and will be mercilessly tested by the competition mechanism. Like athletes at the Olympics, they take part in the most prestigious piano event, which is an important moment that can change their lives forever.
